How to practice gratitude to support your health (by the Oura Team)

How to practice gratitude to support your healthGratitude is more than a reason for gathering with loved ones around the table—it’s a powerful tool for improving your life satisfaction and your overall health. During this busy season, take a moment to practice gratitude; you might set yourself up for a mental shift that could improve your daily life. Some ideas to get you started in your gratitude practice:

  1. Take time to reflect on your day. Whether it’s writing in a journal or adding Tags about your day, the simple practice of reflecting can support your mental health.

  2. Check in with your body. Choose from dozens of guided sessions in the Explore tab and reap the benefits of reduced stress and better sleep.

  3. Make time to move every day. Getting morning sunshine and moving your body are great ways to boost your endorphins, immune system, and sleep.

  4. Say yes to new opportunities. Channel a growth mindset by trying new things and you’ll improve your brain’s neuroplasticity, alleviate chronic stress, and become more resilient.

  5. Spend time with loved ones. Whether it’s seeing a friend or chatting with neighbors, support your health by staying socially connected.
